Unspectacular beauty

Unspectacular beautyWe love spectacular shots. The sunset, the New York skyline, a glamour model, you name it. But what about the unspectacular beauty? At my place in this period, the winter this cold. The birds want to eat, like us. And my daugther wants to help them. Some bread crumbs etc. The joy (for her, and me) to see the birds coming to eat is great. So I try to take a picture (I have no telezoom) without disturbing the bird. And you know what … my daughter likes the photo very much. For her this photo is much nicer than any ‘spectacular’ photo of the New York skyline. Kids have another perspective. The age at which ‘the New York skyline’ becomes important has still to come. For now she prefers ‘the bird in our garden’. How unspectacular:) Shot with Nikon D5100 AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6G VR, 55 mm, f/5.6, ISO 800, 1/125 sec, RAW (2013)
